Class Schedule 2025:
Bradley® Method natural childbirth classes are the most comprehensive childbirth class! They are the only childbirth classes that are statistically proven to reduce the need for cesareans and interventions. The course covers pregnancy nutrition, exercises, how to stay healthy and low risk, relaxation techniques, deep abdominal breathing, natural labor/comfort techniques, pros and cons of medical interventions, emergency/unexpected situations, breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum, and more. Families who choose the Bradley Method usually desire to have a loved one (such as a husband, partner, or friend) trained as their primary labor assistant, or at least thoroughly educated so they know what to expect, what is normal, what is not, how to help, and when to ask for help. We welcome families of all kinds, regardless of your choice partner! The major focus is a healthy baby and mom, which is best achieved through a healthy natural birth. The course teaches specific techniques to achieve this goal, and gives families the information they need to make important decisions that are right for their family, and their individual circumstances. All information is research and evidenced based.
Amy is the Mom of wonderful two young men, and wife to an amazingly patient man. For the past 30 years she has successfully taught Bradley® classes to pregnant families, and empowered them to educate themselves to make healthy decisions that are right for them. Her training in medical malpractice research has served to assist her in expanding her knowledge toward doing research for her students, and the community at large. She specializes in the field of pregnancy nutrition, and spent 5 years studying with Dr. Tom Brewer, and 2 years assisting with his Pregnancy Hotline. She has written for Midwifery Today and has had more than a dozen articles published to date. She also served as the Education Chair for Rochester Birth Network for 20 years, and was a founding member. She was also a member of the Board of the Institute for Family-Centered Childbirth. Specializing in helping moms stay healthy and low risk, Amy’s motto for her students is “Healthy Babies, Healthy Moms, and A Positive Birth Experience”.
