My hope is to help parents have the birth they want and to experience a fear-free labor! A little about me:

As long as I can remember I’ve loved everything babies. My sister was born when I was four years old and I distinctly remember holding her and thinking the is the greatest feeling in the world! I was born and raised in North Georgia and met my husband of 19 years in our home state as well. We never had solid plans of having children but we both loved kids and family has always been our top priority.

Fast forward 10 years into our marriage we were pleasantly surprised with our first daughter and then another baby girl 2 years later. We were so excited to start this new adventure and thankfully everything with my pregnancies went well.

I am so happy to be able to support all different kinds of births but I especially appreciate home-birthing the more experience I have. For our family we chose to birth both our daughters at home and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Every pregnancy and birth has its challenges but it was very comforting for me to be in my own environment with the help of capable midwives and my amazing husband.

My goal now is to empower new moms throughout their pregnancy and assist them in succeeding in ANY type of birth they plan. I have an extra soft spot for moms that have been through traumatic births and have delivered via C-section and provide resources and postpartum care to those moms as well. Healing from a “traditional” birth can have major challenges and adding surgery or change of plans to a birth plan can add stress to say the least.

I truly get so much satisfaction from helping moms and dads gain confidence through their labor and delivery process.

I do feel there are completely necessary reasons for intervention in labor and of course many unavoidable cesareans in most practices BUT I would love to see more in the medical field getting to see, study and experience completely natural child birth. For the health and wellness of moms in this country and for the countless benefits of the next generation.

Even though I had decent pregnancies and births for both of our kids, I did experience extreme postpartum depression, slow healing and major breastfeeding challenges with my first. I was not prepared in the least but it has given me extreme compassion and empathy for new moms. The endless hours of trial and error, research and polling my seasoned mom friends has helped me so much and I love to share what I’ve learned. From prenatal chiropractic to pediatric dentists to assist with lip/tonque ties, I’ve got you covered. I do my best with all my clients to find out what they’re prepared for and what they’re NOT prepared for and go from there. Between losses, breastfeeding struggles and healing your postpartum body I try to dive deep into the resources I have to ensure the moms I work with feel confident before, during and after they give birth.

Most couples I work with are first time parents but I’ve had the occasional mom that wants some extra support when there’s already little ones to be taken care of during her labor. I’m happy to work with anyone that I’m able to no matter the circumstances for their birth and I also offer initial postpartum care and extended postpartum care for things like help with setting up breast pump or just helping you get settled in at home with the newborn essentials. Every child is a gift and I view it as a privilege to support and honor families as they prepare for them!

I truly believe knowledge is power and I want to empower parents everywhere to have the best birth they can. Classes are 1-2x a week depending on the group and cover 12 lessons packed with information to give you all the confidence you and your partner need. Class location is flexible but I do offer an office space setting in the middle of Suwanee off Satellite Blvd. and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

I offer birth and postpartum doula services as well as live online birth class. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about either of these services! I travel all over Atlanta and would love to meet you!

These classes are subject to change and if it looks like you need another date, please don’t hesitate to email me.
