A bit about me
I have been teaching Bradley Method® natural childbirth classes in Houston since 2011. When I was pregnant, a friend told me about The Bradley Method®, and I was immediately drawn to it. I wanted to focus on tuning into my body during labor and feeling fully present as my child was born.
Bradley Method® classes are comprehensive childbirth education. The full and honest information, along with a knowledgeable teacher, helped allay my fears of unmedicated childbirth. I gave birth with a hospital midwife practice in Seattle, WA. When I went fifteen days past my due date with no signs of labor, I consented to induction with Pitocin. Despite the medical induction, I was able to give birth with no pain medication. I can honestly say that I never even wanted it! I was prepared with practical knowledge and techniques from my Bradley class.
I believe in the power of a woman’s body to birth her baby. My incredibly hard but empowering childbirth led me to become a Bradley Method® instructor. In my classes, I focus on training parents to give their babies the healthiest start in life, helping them work to strengthen their support of each other, and building a community of new parents. We also learn a lot and have fun every week!
