Lisa Upham is a highly respected midwife, childbirth educator, and advanced designation doula trainer with more than 20 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. She has taught Bradley Method® Childbirth Classes to nearly 1,000 couples, empowering them with practical skills, confidence, and partner-based preparation for natural childbirth.
Additionally, Lisa holds a PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) and is a licensed chaplain, bringing a calm, grounded, and compassionate presence to her work with families from all backgrounds.
In addition to her teaching, Lisa has attended over 1,300 births, giving her rare, real-world insight into the wide range of normal, healthy birth experiences. This extensive hands-on experience allows her to bridge theory and practice, helping couples understand not just what to expect in birth, but how to navigate it with confidence, teamwork, and informed decision-making.
