Congratulations on your pregnancy!

What an exciting time as you prepare and plan for bringing a life into this world.  These classes are a great way to do that.  Whether you are planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, these classes can help you prepare for your labor and for after your baby arrives.  These classes are wonderful for first time moms as well as moms who have had previous births that didn’t go as planned or had unwanted interventions.

About me

I am a strong believer in doing what’s best for your baby and for yourself.  Proper nutrition, exercise, avoiding medications and drugs during pregnancy and labor, and being good consumers are a few of the benefits of taking Bradley classes.  My goal is to empower women to make good choices in labor and birth and to trust their bodies to do what they are supposed to do.

I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), Licensed Midwife, doula, and childbirth educator.  My husband and I took The Bradley Method Classes when we were pregnant with our first child in 2003.  I have since had three more children.  They are 21, 19, 17, and 13 years old.  I became an instructor myself while I was pregnant with my 2nd child and have been teaching now for over 20 years.  I offer home birth midwifery services, doula services, and Bradley classes to couples in the area.  I am passionate about natural childbirth and helping women learn about their bodies and how to work with their bodies in labor.  Please call or email with any questions you may have!

My classes

Classes are held in Fort Mill, off the 77 freeway.  I teach a 10 week series of classes.  We meet one night a week and each session is approximately 2 hours long.  I teach about the natural process of birth, how to work “with” your body in labor, natural ways to avoid pain, and how to handle positive pain.  Coaches are taught how to help their partners relax and stay focused.  Other topics include nutrition, exercise, proper breathing, the different stages of labor, and relaxation.

There are currently no classes scheduled in Fort Mill for spring 2026. Please email me for information on spring classes in Charlotte or at a later date in Fort Mill.
