KAITLYN MORRISON
In-person Classes: Yes
Doula Services: Yes
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Morrison, a wife of 12 years, mother of two sons, and a birth doula for four years. I am a Provisionally Affiliated Bradley® Professional, which is a fancy way to say that I am still in training! I offer classes in North Augusta, SC, and the dates for the first class series are listed below!
My husband and I took The Bradley Method® in 2019 with our first son. We loved the small class size, hands-on learning, and comprehensive childbirth education. I still keep in contact with the moms from our class even 8 years later! When I decided to start teaching childbirth education classes, I knew it had to be The Bradley Method®!
I love supporting families as they navigate pregnancy and birth in their own way, with a strong commitment to true informed consent, personalized care, and holistic health. My goal is to help parents feel confident and empowered as they bring their baby earthside. “Healthy mom, healthy baby” is the bare minimum. I hope for healthy pregnancies, healthy starts to breastfeeding, healthy families, and healthy homes – physically and emotionally.
During this class series, you will learn:
- How labor and birth work: Understand the physiology of pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period so you can make informed decisions throughout the process.
- Natural pain-coping techniques: Practice relaxation, breathing, positioning, and other comfort measures to work with labor rather than fear it.
- The partner’s role as birth coach: Learn how the birth partner can provide continuous physical, emotional, and practical support before, during, and after birth.
- Healthy pregnancy habits: Discover the importance of nutrition, exercise, rest, and overall wellness in preparing for a healthy pregnancy and birth.
- Recognizing the stages of labor: Learn what to expect during each stage of labor, when to go to the birth location or call your birth attendants, and how to respond confidently as labor progresses.
- Making informed decisions: Understand common medical interventions, their benefits and risks, and how to communicate effectively with your healthcare team while advocating for your birth preferences.
- Preparing for life after birth: Gain practical knowledge about the early postpartum period, breastfeeding, newborn care, and the transition into parenthood together.
