Welcome! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am delighted that you are seeking a holistic start for your family!
Growing up, I always knew I wanted a family and from childhood have been drawn to natural care. It was just clear to me that I wanted a natural childbirth. However, I was terrified of it! I had always watched pregnancy and delivery shows on TV and just thought, “That must be awful!” How could my body possibly be made for that? Well, in 2010 my husband and I were married and became pregnant in 2012. I was firm in my desire for a natural childbirth but still terrified. Then Nick’s sister mentioned The Bradley Method® and how much they had enjoyed their classes. We were definitely interested, so we signed up! That was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and I can proudly say that by about half-way through, I was no longer terrified of childbirth! Even when labor started, I was not afraid of it, and I’m so grateful for that. Giving birth, now multiple times, makes up some of the most memorable events of my life and has given my husband and I a deeper bond with one another. I was so enraptured with our experience that I desired to bring that knowledge, peace, and joy to other couples bringing children into the world. The beauty of family, children, and childbirth is near to my heart, and I want to help others find and see that beauty.
