Paige Carness, B.S., M.S., AAHCC My name is Paige Carness. My experience teaching Bradley® classes across the United States and beyond, gives me a unique perspective to empower couples with the tools they need to birth their baby – no matter the location! With a strong science background including both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Biology, I worked for many years conducting high containment research and then worked to improve the institutional and safety policies affecting pregnant and nursing mothers.  I have been teaching Bradley® classes for 12 years now and deeply enjoy watching families grow and strengthen their bonds. I have prepared couples and attended hospital births, home births, VBAC and VBA2C births. My family and I are now located in Tacoma, WA.  I have four great kids and an amazing husband.

Class size:

Limited to 8 couples.

Location:

Classes are currently in Tacoma (Stadium District), or Gig Harbor (central)

Class dynamics:  

You will play games to test and solidify your knowledge, and engage in various labor rehearsals to practice techniques learned in class.  As well as hands-on access to touch and see a life-size pelvis, and uterus (model).  Some women need to see for themselves that a baby’s head does, in fact, fit through the pelvis!  You will also have the opportunity to watch videos with real people having real, joyful, births!  You may laugh, you may cry, you may even be surprised!

Included with Classes:  

I will provide you with a digital workbook along with electronic copies of relevant articles and games.   In person classes will have access to a lending library of birth related books.

Student Center: 

In addition to providing access to the official Bradley Method® Student Center, I provide access to my own student center resources, which includes evidence-based information and other helps like vegetarian meal planning, example birth plans, questions to ask health providers and more.  With study guide answers and links to videos, the student center is an excellent resource if you will be calling into class, missing a class or have a spouse on deployment!

Length: 

Classes are 2 hours; once a week; for 12 weeks.  That is 24 hours of training and instruction making this course the longest childbirth class available!   Please contact me to reserve your seat in the next session.
