Whether you’re planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, I want to help expecting
parents meet their birth goals. The Bradley Method®  is a program that covers exercise,
nutrition, stages of labor, medications, C-sections, breastfeeding, newborn care, and the
postpartum period. It’s a comprehensive course that leaves couples prepared for labor
and birth! It’s also great for second-time moms who want to have a natural vaginal birth
and to feel respected throughout their care.

Students will:
 Practice relaxation techniques
 Learn how to avoid unnecessary pain
 Evaluate the risks and benefits of each intervention
 **Coaches will learn how to coach and advocate for the mother**
 Be excited and confident about birth

I’ve given birth to two Bradley®  babies who are now 10 and 7. My births were the most
empowering and rewarding experiences of my life! The Bradley Method®  gave me the
tools to give birth with confidence, and my husband learned how to be the best labor
support and coach. We enjoyed taking our Bradley®  classes, and I’d love for you to have
the same safe, positive, and powerful birth experience.
I’m passionate about supporting women in their birth choices. Over 85% of Bradley
Method®  students go on to have unmedicated births!

I knew I wanted to be a Bradley®  teacher right after I gave birth to my daughter in 2015.
My husband and I had used The Bradley Method®  to prepare, and we had the most
amazing water birth. It was the best day of our lives! I was so proud of myself for
achieving my birth goals, and I loved how we worked together as a couple. We used the
same techniques again for my son’s birth in 2018. These babies were born without
medication and on their own terms. I felt strong and empowered during my births, and I
want all women to have the same positive experience.

I graduated from Duke University with degrees in English and cultural anthropology. I
became a high school English teacher and loved engaging with students. I am a lifelong
learner and an academic, so during my first pregnancy I read everything I could find
about birth. I am passionate about keeping up to date with evidence-based information
and keeping my childbirth students informed. Even though I’ve switched from teaching
Brontë to Bradley, my goal remains the same: Give students the confidence and
knowledge to achieve their goals.
