    Hi Wendy,

(Jon Bek from the Support Team here, under the Admin account).

Great question. There are a number of possible strategies for this, depending on how “techie” you want to get, and what virtual meeting software you are using. For example, if you are using Zoom, you can send individual (private) chat messages to attendees in your Zoom meeting — a copy-and-paste typically means no more than 8 messages for a full class of 8 couples.  If you are running a hybrid class (some couples physically present, and some remote), you could use a mix of physical cards and some chat messages.

For some activities, you can adapt to a technology like the Kahoot game, though Kahoot does not perfectly align with this particular activity.

If you want to just send to the coaches, you could even do something like pull 8 cards, take a photo of each one, and text the image to each individual coach. I guess it depends on your comfort with the technology, and how fast your thumbs are! 🙂

If you are super tech-maven, this can be addressed through a shared Google worksheet, and a macro tied to a pushbutton on the worksheet that pulls the text from one of the cards at random.  There’s always the chance that two different couples end up with the same “card”, but that may actually be a great teaching moment — what did you especially like about how each coach addressed the assignment?  What did they do differently that demonstrates different effective techniques? What similarities suggest some common strategies?  Cool beans!

    Welcome, Whitney!

As you may have noticed, the discussion forum is pretty quiet at the moment.  This usually perks up around the date of the live-on-Zoom teacher trainings.  But you’re not alone in this! You’ll meet your awesome cohort at the upcoming Teacher Training.  Meanwhile, feel free to reach out to Support for any questions about using the site (support@bradleymethod.com), or contact your mentor teacher via info@bradleymethod.com — or just give us a call by phone.  Your success is a priority for us!

    Hi Grace and Friends!

Support has noticed that the BB Forum software we’re using does not seem to be properly sending email notices to subscribed users. We are researching and testing a fix. Meanwhile, we suggest you check the forums occasionally to see if others have posted or replied to you.

    Thanks!

    Jon

    Hi Nikki!

Jon Bek here (Support Manager, using the Admin Account at the moment).  We just recently refreshed and updated the Candidate discussion forums.  I’m going to ping the leadership team, and ask them to reach out to all current candidates to remind them that this resource is available.  Support installed the forums in response to a request from a cohort, but we have likely under-promoted it.  It’s clear that there is a lot of enthusiasm in our current candidate cohorts, and an appetite for greater peer interaction and community.  We want to facilitate that!

    Have a great day!
